"DR. CHASE has the best “bedside” manner I have experienced. And the work is superior!!"- T.T. / Google / May 14, 2019
"I must risk sounding too cliché or “fluffy” when writing this review but I must I will be perfectly honest. I recently had 2 appointments at Smiles NY. I mean we all like “painless dentistry” but SMILESNY offers that and so much more. The associates are always professional and kind. The office is immaculate. The atmosphere is peaceful with music and warm lighting. It’s more like a spa for your teeth. Janice, the hygienist, is a periodontist disguised as a hygienist. She is incredibly meticulous, skilled & so generous with her time. My crown replacement with Dr. Roth was stress free. He is fast, efficient and his work is always perfect. As a patient over 25 years I’ve had many procedures done with Dr. Roth including 16 veneers & have never had any issues, leaving the office thinking, AMAZING, that was so easy!! It truly is a privilege to be a patient of this practice."- A.R. / Google / May 08, 2019
"Smiles NY is the most professional dental office I have ever visited. The combination of their top notch staff and their state of the art equipment puts Smiles NY at the top of their game!"- W.S. / Google / May 06, 2019
"Best Dentist in NYC and the tri-state area. I have been going to Dr. Chase and Maria for 22 years. They are the greatest, most knowledgable, most experienced in the business. Away from just the basics, they detect some full body issues that start with mouth/teeth. You would be surprised how much they know and how their abilities go way beyond just teeth to things that affect your total health! They are the best in the business! Special thanks for fixing a last minute emergency right away, if every business had their customer service it would be a happy even more successful world!!!"- A.V. / Google / May 05, 2019
"SmilesNY is amazing. I've been a patient for over 20 years and wouldn't think of going anywhere else."- K.B. / Facebook / May 05, 2019
The use of lasers in dentistry is a relatively new advent. Dental lasers can be used in the treatment of tooth decay, gum disease, biopsy and lesion removal, and teeth whitening procedures. In dentistry, different types of lasers serve several unique functions. When used in surgical dental procedures, lasers act as a cutting instrument. Lasers can also be used to "cure" or "set" a filling by strengthening the bond between the restoration and the natural tooth. At SmilesNY, lasers are also used to enhance the effects of in-office whitening systems. Whether you are looking for a more effective treatment or are wanting to improve the brightness of your smiles, we can help specialize a laser treatment to fit your specific needs and wants.
What to Expect
At SmilesNY, we perform laser treatments as in-office procedures and they typically only require a local anesthetic. However, other sedation options are available if you have any anxiety or dental fears. Before your procedure, your dentists will go over exactly what to expect during the treatment. Laser treatments minimize bleeding and can eliminate the need for stitches in laser gum treatments which can lead to quicker healing times.
Patients will be given recovery instructions before they are discharged to go home. Considering that your gums may be sore or swollen, you may want to adhere to a liquid or soft food diet for a few days. For gum treatments, you may have to schedule a follow-up appointment so that your SmilesNY dentist can assess your healing and decide if another treatment is necessary. If a biopsy was conducted, you may need to come back into our office to receive your results. If oral cancer is diagnosed, your dentist will go over your treatment options and next steps.
Once your laser treatment plan is created, a member of our financial team will go over the costs. SmilesNY accepts several payment methods, including low-interest medical financing. If you have dental insurance, our office will contact your carrier to determine your coverage and out-of-pocket costs.
To get a quicker and more accurate treatment, our New York dentists employ an advanced laser system for restorative and cosmetic procedures. Whether you have to take care of gum disease, eradicate tooth decay, or improve the appearance of your smile, laser treatments offer faster appointments and recovery times.
