Nita
Nita received her education back home in her native country, Kosovo, where she studied English language and literature.
She’s naturally a people person who’s worked with patients from all walks of life.
You can rely on Nita to greet you at the office and ensure your satisfaction is met with the highest level of customer service care.
Nita is very hard-working, friendly, reliable, attentive, and helpful.
When she’s not busy at SmilesNY, Nita spends her weekends working as a bartender.
In her spare time, she enjoys playing volleyball, doing yoga, and traveling to new places.
. Dental Assistant
Barbara
Barbara joined SmilesNY in 2024, bringing her expertise and passion for patient care to the team. A graduate of St. Francis College, Barbara’s journey into dentistry began when a professor encouraged her to explore the field, igniting a career that officially started in 2016.
At SmilesNY, Barbara values the practice’s commitment to delivering exceptional care by focusing on the details that make a difference for every patient. Her dedication aligns perfectly with the team’s mission to create outstanding dental experiences.
Outside the office, Barbara enjoys a full and vibrant life with her French bulldogs, exploring new sights and spending quality time with her family. Her warmth and attention to detail shine through both in and out of the office, making her an integral part of the SmilesNY family.
. Dental Assistant
Darline
Darline has been a dental clinician since 1993 and part of the SmilesNY dental team since 2000.
She became a certified dental assistant after graduating from the Mandi School in New York, NY.
Darline plays an essential role at SmilesNY by helping our patients receive effective treatments to improve their dental health.
She prepares patients for their treatment and assists during the procedure process. Darline is fluent in French, which allows her to communicate
effectively with some of our out-of-town patients.
. Dental Hygienist
Carol
Carol has worked at SmilesNY since 1994. She received her degree in certified dental assisting from the Mandi School in New York, NY.
Carol enjoys helping patients by guiding them through the procedures that not only change their smiles but often change their lives.
She works alongside our dentists during several treatments and procedures and ensures that our patients feel comfortable before, during, and after treatment.
Carol also helps to explain any necessary post-care instructions in order to help every individual have a speedy and comfortable recovery.
. Dental Hygienist
Maria
Maria has been working in the dental field since receiving her degree in dental hygiene from New York University in 1995.
She later received certification from New York University in local anesthesia and nitrous sedation.
At SmilesNY, Maria performs dental cleanings as a part of preventive dental care.
She also takes digital x-rays and completes preliminary examinations of the mouth for areas of disease or damage, and works with her patients to help them understand how to improve their dental health.
When not treating her patients at SmilesNY, Maria enjoys volunteering her services to many dental clinics, some as far away as Jerusalem.
