Porcelain Veneers Reviews
"I live in Los Angeles and I fly 3000 miles twice a year for teeth cleaning plus Dr Chase did my veneers. I get more compliments on my teeth than I do my personality."- J.O. / Google / Apr 18, 2015
"I always get top quality care from Dr. Roth at SmilesNY. This time I was fit with some new veneers and the whole procedure went smoothly and painlessly. Dr. Roth is the best, and his staff is equally great. Special praise to Jaime, who assisted Dr. Roth in a most capable and caring manner."- A. / Demandforce / May 03, 2016
"Best Dentist in NYC! I LOVE my veneers, they are absolutely perfect. Dr. Chase really pays attention to detail and is a true artist. The staff and hygenists are amazing, always so welcoming and kind. I used to dread going to the dentist and was scared to even get a cleaning, but SmilesNY makes going to the dentist a very positive and comfortable experience. I wouldn't trust my smile to anyone else!"- J.M. / Demandforce / Jan 20, 2015
"Excellent experience as always. I appreciate the care that Dr. Roth always displays--he makes every effort to make sure I'm comfortable and free of pain during whatever procedure I have. He's also an artist in terms of cosmetic dentistry. Both my veneers and new crowns look fantastic. And my cleaning with Janice was excellent; she does such a thorough job. My teeth have never looked whiter or better! Highly recommended! This place is just the best."- A. / Demandforce / Mar 27, 2015

Porcelain veneers can be used to quickly mask chips and stains on your enamel, improve misaligned or worn down teeth, and fix teeth that are poorly shaped or spaced. At SmilesNY, your porcelain veneers will be custom made to fit comfortably over your teeth for an attractive and natural look. At your consultation, your dentists will listen to your goals and expectations so they can customize your treatment. They will also find out if you are a good candidate for porcelain veneers by checking your overall oral health. You should not have signs of periodontal disease, or habitually clench your jaw and grind your teeth (called bruxism).
What To Expect
As soon as you have developed your unique treatment plan, your dentist will take impressions of your teeth. Your porcelain veneers might be produced in our office with our advanced technology while you wait, or the impressions can be sent to a dental laboratory where your custom veneers will be crafted out of high-quality porcelain material. When your porcelain veneers are ready, your dentist will remove a small amount of enamel from the front of your teeth. This creates space for the veneers and improves the bond for a more natural result that lasts a long time. Once your veneers are bonded, minor adjustments may be made to make your veneers more comfortable.
Since getting veneers normally does not require anesthesia, you should be able to continue your daily activities after your appointment. You may experience some sensitivity to hot and cold food for a few days, but this should subside naturally. Your veneers should be cleaned like your natural teeth with regular brushing and flossing. While porcelain veneers are more resistant to stains compared to your natural enamel, you should still avoid staining foods and drinks to help keep your smile bright. To avoid harming your veneers, you should not chew on hard objects, such as ice or your fingernails. Continue to make dental exams and cleanings at SmilesNY so we can monitor the condition of your porcelain veneers, teeth, gums, and overall oral health. Your dental specialist will let you know if your cosmetic veneers have to be repaired or replaced.
Veneers are a cosmetic procedure, so they are usually not paid by dental insurance. SmilesNY does accept many payment methods, including medical financing, to make your treatment easier to afford. During your consultation, your treatment will be customized to fit your goals and budget. A member of our financial team will go over an estimate for your treatment and explain your payment options.
